This may just be because of some sort of program my school computer system has to block theses types of games, but when i extract the files, it flashes

up and closes instantly.
I opened it rapidly and eventually got quake to stay up, just to show me the following message
"Launching Quake
MPDOSGAM::Timed-out waiting for helper thread to die."
